Committee

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee organises our events, campaigns and membership. Our Executive Committee is a group of Labour Students either attending the University of Manchester or Manchester Metropolitan University. It's lead by the two co-Chairs, one from each University. All Executive Members have a defined role within Manchester Labour Students. The Executive Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting in November/December each year.

Honorary Presidents

	Honorary Co-President: John Mann MP John is MP for Bassetlaw who is a former Chair of Manchester Labour Students, Sabbatical Welfare Officer at UMSU and National Chair of Labour Students.

	Honorary Co-President: Bev Hughes MP Bev is MP for Stretford and Urmston in Trafford.

Executive Officers

	Co-Chair (MMU): Lauren Day-Cooper Lauren's role is to oversee and give general direction for Manchester Labour Students, chairing the Man Met Labour Club.

	Co-Chair (UoM): Andrew Campbell Andrew's role is also to oversee and give general direction for Manchester Labour Students and chair the University of Manchester Labour Club.

	Labour Party Campaigns Officer: Bill Martin Bill is responsible for our campaigning with and for the Labour Party, be it locally in Manchester or nationally.

	Membership Officer: Tamoor Tariq Tamoor is responsible for keep all our records up to date and working to get some of our less-active members more involved.

	Political Events Officer: Elsie Wraighte Elsie is responsible for organising our political events including visiting speakers and Policy Forums.

	Publicity Officer: Ben Furber Ben is responsible for our blog/website and keeping our members up to date with what is going on. Ben also represents Manchester Labour Students on the Manchester Young Labour Committee.

	Secretary (MMU): Josh Terry Josh is responsible for keeping our paper-work in order at MMU and registering our MMU members to national events.

	Secretary (UoM): Talia Akhtar Talia is responsible for keeping our paper-work in order at UoM and registering our UoM members to national events.
	Social Secretary: Francesca Lemanczyk Francesca is responsible for organising our club socials.

	Students' Unions Campaigns Officer: Fionnuala McGoldrick Fin's role involves coordinating our campaigns at UMSU, MMUnion and within NUS.

	Treasurer (MMU): Luke Pollard Luke looks after the finances of the MMU Labour Club.

	Treasurer (UoM): Hannah Spector Hannah's job is to manage the club finances including planning and funding. Hannah is also a Labour Students National Committee member.

Liberation Officers

	BAME Officer: Rashad Raoufi Rashad is responsible for representing BAME students on the Executive, running MLS BAME events and caucuses.

	Disabled Students Officer: Vacant The Disabled Students Officer is responsible for representing Disabled Students' on the Executive. This post is vacant due to graduation.

	LGBT Officer: Curtis McLellan Curtis is responsible for representing LGBT students on the Executive, running MLS LGBT events and caucuses.

	Women's Officer: Elsie Wraighte In addition to being Political Events Officer, as Women's Officer, Elsie is responsible for organising Manchester Labour Students Women in Red events and for representing women on the Executive.

Ex-Officio Executive Members

	President of MMUnion: Rob Boardman Rob is the President of MMUnion. Rob attends Executive as Leader of the MMUnion Labour Group.
